May

May was a great month for the Jackson family. Here are some of the highlights:
Chris graduated from Virginia Wesleyan College with his undergraduate degree! I could not be more proud of him. He really worked hard to make it happen. It was so good to see it all come together for him. After the ceremony we celebrated with a family lunch at Olive Garden. It was a great day! Thank you to Mrs. Jenn, Erin and "Baby" Anna for letting Cody come play at their house during the ceremony. I know he had a lot more fun there! It wouldn't be a Jackson family event with out the Maggiores present! We are so blessed to have friends like them!
He looks smarter already!

That same weekend, Chris and I chaperoned the ASBC's Bible Drill Team on their reward trip to Great Wolf Lodge. I got up there early to set up the rooms and got a chance to get a couple hours in the water park with Cody and Chris. We had an amazing time and were so impressed with the park. We can't wait to go back.

MONSTER TRUCKS!

The spring after Cody was born, Chris and I struck out on one of our first "baby-free" evenings. We went to oceanfront expecting a quiet moonlit stroll on the beach and instead found "Monsters on the Beach"! It was so much fun and we decided that night that when Cody was old enough, we would take him to see them. So this year, Cody made his first trip to the monster truck show and was totally enthralled. He didn't move off Chris' lap the entire 2 hours, his eyes were glued to the beach. He wouldn't even look at me if I asked him a question. The months that have followed have been filled with truck noises and sending toy trucks over "ramps". I could probably count 100 times that he has asked me if it's time to go see the monster trucks again. We can't wait for next year!

What a great accomplishment for Chris. Congrats to him. And hooray for another mom who is willing to tough out a monster truck show. I have seen several, and am sure I have not seen my last!!! The pics of Cody at Great Wolf are great. Sounds like fun!!!

I've never taken my boys to the Monster Truck show at the beach...I think if I did, they'd think that EVERY time we went to the beach they'd see monster trucks - what fun! And congrats Chris - way to stick it out! you ARE smarter already!

Jessica, Thanks for sharing these great family moments. A proud moment for all of you to see Chris graduate. Can't wait for the day Trevor finishes up!! We'll have to make a mental note about teh monster trucks at the beach. Grayson isn't necessarily into anything like that, but I know he'd love the show after seeing your pics!!
