Pumpkin Patch Advice

OK, so it's been like a month since I last blogged, but I have to admit it has been one booger of a month. And as you can see from the ticker above, it's less than two weeks from Hallelujah Harvest. So for now you all will have to wait with baited breath for the exciting stories from the Jackson household...yeah right!
But here's my question. Chris and I want to do a pumpkin patch day with Cody on Friday. This will be the first year for us, so I am looking for the best one in the area. I know you all have the scoop on the best places in town! Is there any place that takes you on a hay ride and you actually pick your pumpkin off the vine?
Thanks for your help! I'm really looking forward to this!

Taylor Farms out in Va Beach is great (off Dam Neck) - they have a petting farm, hay ride & a pumpkin patch. There is a field full of pumpkins for you to choose from - but sorry, no vine!! We're actually going on Saturday morning. Have a great time!!!

I agree, Taylor farms is a pretty good pumpkin patch. Like Heather said, there isn't a vine, but it's still fun to go pick your pumpkin out of the field!! Hope you enjoy yourselves!!

Yep, no vine, but Taylor farms is great, and Hunt Club Farms is great too (that one has a petting zoo and animals you can feed). The one on Battlefield is really a playzone set up on the side of a highway - Cody would have more fun at one of the other two. Enjoy it - and glad to hear that you are surviving!! Can you believe H.H. is coming so quickly?!?!? We're going to be out of town that weekend and my boys are going to have a MELTDOWN!!!
