"Canon"

We are pleased to announce that Canon has finally arrived! I went in Tuesday morning for a scheduled induction. I was already having regular contractions when I got there, but they were not getting the job done. The pitocin was started around 11:00 am, moments later things really got rockin'. At 1:15 pm, they broke my water. About an hour later, I got my epidural. Let's just say that it was only partially effective. :) Quite a strange experience. By 5:00 pm, I was complete and was pushing by 5:20. Thirty exhausting minutes later, Canon made his entrance into the world. It was a beautiful moment.
Our first week has been wonderful and full and sleep deprived! Canon is a very healthy boy! Tuesday, he was up to 9 lbs. 3 oz. Cody is doing well, all things considered. He is trying to be very helpful and for the most part is very understanding of my new responsibilities and his lack of "mommy time."
So without further adieu, here is our new addition!!!!

Canon is very handsome! I'm trying to figure out who I think he looks more like. Can't wait to meet him when everything calms down for ya in the next few weeks; Let me know and Emmalee and I would love to bring you lunch/snacks/etc. and say hi.

Congratulations on another beautiful baby boy! We are so happy for you all! I think that he looks like what I remember Cody looking like. Am I right? I know the days and nights are all running together right now but take as much time as you can to grab a nap when you can so you can enjoy those 2 boys as much as possible!

oh he is so sweet! i'm telling you, it's KILLING me to know he's here and not to have been able to hold him yet. please tell him how much we love him and that we can't wait to love on him! doesn't Cody seem SO big to you now that you have Canon here and he's so little! :) i will never forget seeing Harrison walk into the room after i had Jackson and thinking my baby boy had suddenly changed and was huge!!!! love you guys!
